What Should I Wear to Church?
At our church no one really cares what style of clothing people wear. Most people, including the pastor dress causal. For example, during the summer months you will probably see some people wearing a comfortable pair of shorts, a t-shirt and maybe even flip flops. But, most of the time you will see trendy shirts and jeans. Occasionally some of the ladies wear a skirt, but most wear designer jeans. Once again, we don't focus on a dress code, but encourage everyone to come comfortably.
Can I Bring My Coffee With Me?
Absolutely!!! When it comes to coffee, we understand how important this subject is today. So we not only encourage you to bring your coffee with you, so if you're running late you can also swing by the coffee pot in the kitchen at church and pick up some brewed coffee as you head into the auditorium for worship.
What’s Inside The Church?
We are blessed with a very nice building for our church. We have done some things on the inside to make it very comfortable with a modern feel. Instead of the traditional church pews, we have comfortable padded chairs. We utilized video and technology to enhance our service and strive overall to make our environment inside the church warm and inviting.
What’s The Music Like?
What Version of the Bible is Used?
Pastor Russ typically uses the Modern King James version of the bible or an easy to read version in his references. Certainly, there is not a best translation that fits all needs. So there are times Pastor Russ will utilize other translations throughout his teaching to better communicate the truth of God's Word. No matter what translation bible you bring with you on Sunday, you're sure to learn something new.
The music at North Valley Assembly is a mix of traditional music, singing hymns with a piano playing and some weeks we use music videos for worship. We use music to help people focus on being thankful for what Christ has done for them. Ultimately, we desire the Holy Spirit to work in our lives as a result of our worship efforts.
What About Kids?
We are very family and kid friendly. We do not offer a regular children’s ministry. However, for toddlers and elementary aged children we do provide childcare upon request.
